Think back to 2012. Do you remember the buzz in creativity, art and design, and technology? It's surprising to hear, but it wasn't much different than what we're talking about now: collaborative creation, iterative design and democratized criticism, and a desire for "regular people" to be part of the creative magic that brings new ideas to life. Witness Midjourney, embedded smack into the middle of public Discord chat: just like Twitch, you can sit back and watch the spark of creative energy ignite before your eyes.
In this talk from 2012, Steven Tomlinson describes just that experience: being surrounded by creativity, immersed in it, and—through well considered technology—getting to be a part of it.
