Conclusion

Design is powerful.

This book has presented a new role for designers, where a designer takes on the responsibilities of a social entrepreneur. This means engaging with wicked problems and using the power of design to generate social capital.

Designers are generally well intentioned. Many designers want to make the world a better place, but feel constrained by existing corporate structures and external expectations. It's my hope that this book offers readers the permission to focus on problems worth solving, and to do the meaningful and important work that our world desperately needs.
